Again, the Irish low cost airline Ryanair is attacked by former employees who accused him of breach of labor law. After France, Great Britain, Norway, another trial opens in Belgium.
Six former employees of Ryanair at Charleroi airport, one Belgian and five Spaniards, supported by the CNE (National Central employees) union filed a complaint before the Tribunal of workers of Charleroi against the low cost provider and Crewlink (Irish company that provides labor to Ryanair). The six former employees demanding 20,000 euros in compensation, on a provisional basis, to the low cost.
The issue of the trial of Charleroi, such as Marseille, France, is the application of national law until the European legislation fills the legal vacuum in the relocation of employees in Europe. Understand, Ryanair applies to employees in Belgium the right of the Irish work favorable to the employer but "less advantageous for workers" according to the CNE. "These are working conditions that we do not want in Belgium ... The new recruits take up to three years. They are offered a gross salary which is almost the net. But their training is paid, they get nothing if they do not fly. And what about their pensions, their social security? "Said Yves Le Free Lambot, standing at CNE.
The first hearing by the Tribunal du travail de Charleroi opened last Monday, the trial will last several weeks.
