Latest air transport news now out:
- The top eight European carriers reported encouraging results: their operating profit in the second quarter is 50% up on the same period in 2012.
- There were 0.7% fewer flights in June 2013 compared with 2012 and the same number in July. But August data show a 0.4% increase - the first growth in 18 months!
- Oil prices were €83 per barrel in August, up from €82 in July.
